Almost Finished

Not as far on with the German Shepherd as I had hoped to be. I have spent this week playing Florence Nightingale as we have all succumbed to a sickness bug that is doing the rounds. Still, there is some progress, and there’s not too much more of the cross stitching to do, just the dreaded backstitch! Having said that, the backstitch should be a doddle after all the three-quarter stitches on Aida! Why did I follow the instructions in the magazine instead of listening to that little voice in my head?

As for designing for Tangled Threads, I have been working on a cute housework sampler. This one is such fun, I can’t wait to stitch it and let you see it…..but, (you knew there was a 'but' coming, didn't you?!!) you’ll just have to be patient!

Sorry it’s such a quick post, but I have to find my lamp and become Florence again!!

Until next time…happy stitching.

Ugh! I've just finished a piece with lots of 3/4 stitches on aida and done the backstitch, too. I picked a piece to work on today with nothing but whole cross stitch. Ahhhhhh..... :-)

Hope everyone feels better!

Looks great! I can't believe the mag suggested Aida when there are 3/4 stitches involved! Hope your family is feeling better soon!

Hope everyone at your house feels better soon. Love the German Shepherd you're stitching! They are one of my favorite breeds.

I can't wait to see the German Shepherd when he is all finished. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of yours. I had my 17 yr old Shih Tzu put to sleep in Oct and I really should stitch up something to remember her by. Like I could ever forget her! :) Thanks for visiting my blog!
