Poor birds!

I love snow....on Christmas day and on Christmas cards.

Actually, I don't mind the snow too much as long as I don't have to go out in it. This is what we woke up to this morning. This is, or or maybe I should say was, the bird bath in the back garden!

It looks more like a huge ice-cream cone!

As promised in my last post, I have some stitching to show you. This will be my DH birthday card, if I get it done on time (bit of a recurring theme here, don't you think?!!) The chart is from Cross Stitch Card Shop magazine, issue 64, and the designer was Debra Page. It's one of a set of six dog designs and I chose to do the German Shepherd.

Sadly, just before Christmas we had to say goodbye to our German Shepherd, Aquila, who was the biggest goofball to ever walk this earth. (The UPS man didn't have quite the same opinion of her though!!!) Wow, could that dog bark. The house seems very quiet and empty without her. I'm going stitch her name at the bottom and make it into a card. I might put the stitching in a frame afterwards as I'm sure hubby would like to keep it.

I'm busy working on some designs for Cross Stitch Card Shop at the moment, some lovely summery designs, but that's all I can say at the moment, I'm sworn to secrecy.

Until next time...happy stitching.

Okay - I have snow envy as we've not really had any snow in the southern Willamette Valley of Oregon this winter.
