Winter, Spring, Summer? Well it depends on where you look!
For this cross stitcher/ designer its all of the above! Let me explain..... if you look on my computer you will see the start of some new Christmas designs (yes already!), on my finishing pile, there are the spring designs to be made into ermmm ...something (haven't decided what quite yet!) and if you look at my comfy chair in front of the TV, you'll see that I'm stitching some lovely summery designs. No wonder I'm confused about the seasons!
So, I can't show you the Christmas designs as they're still floating around in my head and only part done on the computer.
This is one of the Spring finishes...
(This designs tells you all you need to know about my thoughts on housework!!)
And this is the start of one of the summer design that I'm working on....
I'm not sure about the turquoise colour though, it looked great on the computer, but now that I'm stitching it I think it might be a tad too strong compared to the other colours. I might have to do some reverse stitching later today! Grrr!
So, here's my question for today. Thinking about Christmas, especially for Christmas cards, what subject matters do you like to stitch? Do you prefer designs with traditional Christmas colour schemes such as reds, greens and golds, or do you like modern non-traditional colours? I'd love to hear what you like to stitch, so please leave me a comment. I love hearing from you and I'd really like to know your thoughts about Christmas stitching , even though it's only February!
Until next time...happy stitching!

beautiful stitching..
sending you love and hugs xx
Love the spring design, I like cute fun christmas designs :)
Cute spring design and oh so true. ;) I don't like the red too much so I tend to go with non-traditional colors for Christmas. I tend to use alot of purple and green. If I do have to have red, I tend to use a maroonish red rather than a candy apple red.
I LOVE that spring piece...that's definitely my house!
For Christmas, I think it depends on if it's something I'm putting up in my home or if it will be a gift. For gifts, I try to work on a color scheme/theme I know the recipient will enjoy. For myself, I like traditional colors (unless it's for the kids, then I tend to go colorful!)
I'm totally traditional when it comes to Christmas , red , green and gold do it every time ,lol .
cute designs :D For christmas I like to stitch anything that catches my interest. What would be awesome would be some summery christmas designs :D
My tree is red, gold and green so I guess a traditional look is best for me.
I like patterns rather than pictures as a rule although I do have rather alot of Angels dotted around thanks to L&L and Mira freebies!
This year it will be more Santas thanks to a lovely giveaway gift I received.
LOL, love the housekeeping one.
Christmas stitching... If I stitched one, it'd probably lean toward the more traditional style.
Great designs :-)
The turquoise is nice but maybe a slightly paler version of it would fit better? I love turquoise!
For Christmas designs I think there are a ton of traditional style ones out there and like to see more modern ones. I stitch both types!
