Some 'secret' stitching.

I haven't managed to get any stitching done since my last post as I have been suffering from the most awful headaches (that should probably be singular because it feels like it's been one long continuous headache that hasn't gone away!) Needless to say, I haven't managed to get any stitching, designing, blog reading etc done. I find the new word verification hard enough as it is, but with a headache....forget it!!

Luckily for me, I do have some 'secret' stitching to show you. This was a design that I was asked to do for Craftseller magazine and of course I can't show you it, or even talk about it, until the magazine has been published.

I was asked to do a 'Home Sweet Home' sampler, and here it is.....

The strong bright reds in the lettering and the border,  are not the colours I would normally use and  in fact, I had designed it using lilac blues. The editor requested the colour change, which meant that the colour of the flowers had to change too. Part way through stitching it, I wasn't sure if the colours I had picked were going to work....not a good feeling!

This is the way it looked before the back stitching...

Thankfully, I stuck with it and once the back stitching was done it looked so much better!

Here's the stitching all framed and with the magazine.

I have another sweet project in next months Craftseller magazine, but until then I have to keep 'mum'!! lol

Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time...happy stitching!
Rhona

It's GREAT how you changed your wording of "tangled threads" to "...wonderful people left a comment" :-)))) It adds a great amount of love to it. Thanks ! Ann

Rhona, I hope you are feeling better. Nothing worse than a headache to keep us away from our craft. Lovely stitching as usual! Love the frame too!

Sorry to hear you've been having bad headaches, I have chronic migraine so I know how it goes to not be able to get on with things because of it. Hope you are feeling a lot better now? Love the "home sweet home" design, that shows just how much the backstitching adds to it doesn't it? Have a great week!
