Who stole Monday?!!

...and most of Tuesday?

Anyone else having trouble finding enough time to get everything done? Silly question, I know!!!

This week I have managed to get a bit more (albeit a really small bit!) of stitching done on Simple Treasures...

I'm trying to decide whether or not to do the back stitching as I go. Back stitching isn't my favourite thing to do but it would certainly pull this design to life and if I do it as I go along, it would save me a lot of heartache at the end! Mmmm, decisions, decisions.

After all the lovely comments about the afghan that I had crocheted, I decided add some more rows of crocheting to make the edging border a bit bigger....and it made such a difference!

As you can see, I got a bit carried away and did not just do one extra row....but three! Glutton for punishment or therapeutic stress relief? Heehee! All I can say is that it was lovely and cosy with that draped over me as I did the border. I wasn't really sure how to turn the corners on the border so I just made it up as I went along....it looks ok to me, and I'm sure that anyone who uses it will not be too bothered if the border hasn't been done correctly.  Maybe Santa will be reading my blog and bring me a  copy of  'Crocheting for dummies'.

Until next time...happy stitching.

Great stitching! I would definitely do the backstitching as I go along and not save it all for the end. The crocheted afghan looks fantastic!

The afghan looks great. I tried to learn to crochet and I just couldn't do it. I would also backstitch as I go. I usually do one thread of colour and then do 30 backstitch on a bap to make the backstitch progreSs.

it does look lovely! The corners are easy, do 1 stitch, chain 2 or 3 and do another stitch, then carry on!
