It's amazing what you can do....

...when you resolve to stay away from Pinterest!!!

So after my last post about not going on to Pinterest until I have made something, I can tell you, quite proudly, that I have been rather productive! Who'd have guessed it?!!

So I have been beavering away on Simple Treasures, and it now looks like this...

Unfortunately I have run out of one of the colours! Don't you just hate when that happens? I emailed Dimensions crafts and they responded straight away and are sending some replacement threads. Fingers crossed the threads don't take too long to arrive. I do have quite a bit of the shell on the right hand side to so, so it's not as if I'll be sitting twiddling my fingers with nothing to do while I await the arrival of the thread.

So, onto the making of some of my crafty pins from Pinterest.  Here's what I made...

It's just a recycled sweetie jar (with  a new supply of sweeties in it!) with a little pair of felt skates for decoration.

Simple to make and cute too! (well I think so anyway!)

So after all that being good, I now have to admit to being a bit naughty!  I blame it all on being Scottish....I just can't resist a bargain, and when I saw these kits with 40% off and shipping at only 1 cent...yes you read correctly, 1 single cent....I just had to get the old credit card out!

I also bought a small set of q-snaps.....which are AWESOME!!! I wish I'd bought a larger set. Next time they are on sale they will be in my basket and winging their way to my sewing basket! :)

The wedding design will be stitched and framed for my friend when she gets married this summer. The lighthouse one is for me ....I think with all the snow and cold weather we've been having  that I have cabin fever and just need something summery to do. So you could say that it's for medicinal purposes, kind of an anti-winter anti-depressant! Ok, I know it's a terrible excuse.... I just loved the design, and hey, I've been good and it was on sale!

Until next time....happy stitching!

Rhona

We all love a bargain, as for Qsnaps, I have two sets and I mix and match them, best stitching frame, ever!

Lovely progress. Love the new stash. As I'm doing Stitch from Stash this year, I will have to drool over yours instead. xx

Oh Simple Treasures looks wonderful! I am trying to stay off of facebook because for me that is a big time waster and I have been stitching up a storm and sneaking in some reading too!

It's really good to leave online world and stitch an hour or two, or three :)

It's looking great. Hate it when they don't give you enough thread. Love q snaps. I have 3 sizes and you can mix and match the extenders to make even more sizes!

Deine Stickerei ist so schön. Ich mag das maritime Bild.
Die Schlittschuhe sind ja auch genial, die Idee mit den Büroklammern gefällt mir.

Your stitched piece is beautiful. Yes I hate when you run out of thread. Especially with kits. Hope it gets there quickly. Love your skates. Those are too cute!

Don't feel bad. We all need more stash (cough cough)haha. Love the pieces you picked. I have Q-snaps and I LOVE them. My favorite is my 8in set. I use them on everything. The larger set is too heavy for me.

Your beach stitchery is beautiful!
I used to stitch constantly, but for the last 20 years, It has become less and less. Looking at other stitchery of late has me excited to finish those projects I still have in process. Thanks for your inspiration!

What a bummer that you ran out of threads... Very frustrating just when you're on a roll :)
I love your ice skates - how simple and so cute :)

Forgot to mention your Seashore treasures...it's looking so good and very 3D! I hope the threads come soon...seems to be a problem with Dimensions kits.

Actually I'm stitching a design called cabin fever. Just a coincidence of words.

I definitely won't judge with 40% off too! Nice kits.
