Late again!

Just a quick update... I don't know where the time is going to....I can't seem to catch up on everything that needs to be done!

Not much stitching done this week....it's really too hot to do anything! But I did manage to get a few stitches added to Twilight Fairy....

This is one of those designs that you really have to concentrate on while stitching....which means no TV. Unfortunately for Twilight Fairy, I have been watching the DVDs of The Borgia's . Not sure when it was on the telly, but I have been getting the DVDs from my local library and I can't watch TV without doing something, so fortunately for me, the crochet pattern for the blanket I'm working on is really easy and I can crochet whilst watching the TV....win! Anyone else have to be be doing something while watching the TV?

Here's how much I've managed to get done since my last post....

Yeah, I've watched a lot of episodes! :) Finishing the little taily bits is not my idea of fun, but I'm trying to get them done in chunks rather than leaving them all to the end, which is why there are none at the bottom and loads at the top!

My hubby thinks it will take me about a year to complete it...which, of course, makes me all the more determined to get it finished in less than a year! Competitive or what?!!  :)

The pattern for the blanket can be found here, just in case anyone would like to try it.

I'm hoping to get caught up with my blog reading and replying to all the comments left here. Thank you so much for taking the time to say something...it's much appreciated.

Until next time...happy stitching!

Rhona

Lovely stitching and blanket.
I can't sit at all with nothing in my hands , look at all the time you would waste.

Both projects look really great. Love the blanket, thanks for the link will take a look at that. Depending on what I am watching but often I do feel like doing somerhing else while something is on TV.

I'm like you Rhona. I can't just sit and watch tv. Have to have something that I'm working on in my hands. I think us creative people are like that. To sit idly is a waste of time maybe?
I love your crocheted blanket. I usually crochet my ends in as I go as I hate having to go back and do them. The method seems to work for me.

The Borgias was on until just last year, it was slated for 4 seasons but they cancelled it at the end of the 3rd... sorry! I was really enjoying that one too!

Your fairy looks so lovely!

The Borgias was only on in the last couple of years. It's quite new.

I have to be doing something whilst watching TV. I just got asked on my blog how I watch TV and make stuff at the same time, but in reality I listen to TV and look up occasionally. Cross stitch, embroidery, beadweaving, crochet... all great for TV work!

I've tried just watching TV and nothing else and it's boring, i find myself getting up and doing the washing up or something!

Some of the best things I love to do when watching TV is crocheting!! Stitching can be more tricky because of the counting etc unless I'm stitching something like a lot of grass! Love the Borgias and it was cancelled last year I think so it's not that old of a show. Twilight fairy is so pretty!! Hugs to you!

Twilight Fairy is very pretty, and I can imagine that it would be challenging to stitch her. Lovely blanket!

Hope that the weather is cooler soon so that you can enjoy stitching a little more.

Blessings!

Both looking great.
I do like to have my hands busy while watching TV but my husband complained I was missing things. So now I don't stitch while watching something new with him. But I will put the TV on if I want to stitch when he is at work.
Borgias are on my list of must see. We've been working our way through the Tutors which was out at a similar time and looks similar in content.
