I treated myself to a new set of q-snaps as the sizes that I have just weren't quite working for me, they were either a bit too large or a bit too small. My local craft store doesn't stock these so I had to order on-line and wait for the postman to deliver them.....oh the anticipation! So with my new 11 x 11 inch q-snaps I managed to get a fair bit of stitching done. And this is where I have to come clean and admit that I didn't, as promised, work on the cardinal design - such a surprise, uh? :)
Here's where I was last week with the seashells design....
....and here is my progress......
....with the nice new q-snaps!
And you can now tell that it's definitely a seashell!
Progress on stitching projects slows down for me at this time of year.....firstly because it's the ice hockey play-off season (we're big hockey fans!) and you can't stitch and watch hockey! And secondly, because the weather is getting better and it's nice to spend some time outside. We are very lucky to live quite close to nature preserve where we like to walk. This weekend we came across this mama and her fluffy little babies....
...aren't they cute? We didn't get too close as we didn't want to stress her. It definitely feels like Spring has finally arrived!
Until next time...happy stitching!

Aww... such a wonderful photo of the mama goose and her babies. Just in time for Mother's Day :) Your shell is looking so pretty, Rhona!
Enjoy stitching with your new Qsnaps! 11x11 Qsnaps are my favorite and the most frequently used, but I do have an 8x11 that I'm using for a smaller project.
Cute photo, great progress on your stitching. Happy Stitching!
Those chicks are adorable! Is that a duck or a goose? I was confused by Carol's comment as I thought that were ducks.
Your seashells are so pretty, I don't blame you for sticking with them!
I don't blame you. It's a beautiful design. Another one my mom would love of course since it's ocean related. Love the goose babies. We've seen some around here too. They are so cute when they are tiny.
Oh the mama duck and her babies are so cute :o)
Doesn't the larger Qsnap make a huge difference! I love use my 11 x 11 so much that I have bought a couple of the extension pieces to make the smaller ones bigger!! :o)
bellissime le conchiglie Rhona! E che amori i pulcini
So glad you got a Qsnap size which fits. The stitching is looking gorgeous.
