Drab coloured threads.

After the bright coloured threads I used for the Tomte bookmarks, I'm back to using dark, drab coloured threads....

....but they are making such a pretty picture! I'm back working on the wolves design. This is where I was last time I showed you a picture of it....

....and here's where I am now....

...lots of blending colours to make a beautiful design that doesn't look drab at all!

Until next time....happy stitching!

You're right. It is a beautiful design that needs those drab colors.

This piece is going to be beautiful Rhona! You're moving right along with it. I happen to love the "dark and drab" colors. Goes to show you that if used together in the correct way, any colors become beautiful!

Beautiful stitching Rhona! Amazing to see the design emerge. You're right...those 'drab' or subtle threads are perfect for capturing the subject....not all bright and pretty colours work for everything (even though I get drawn to them!!) Always enjoy seeing your lovely detailed cross stitching. XXX

Such a lovely piece; it really makes the seemingly drab colours worth it x
