Two in a row on black... I deserve a medal!
Actually, I don't really hate black aida, it's just that I find I stitch so much more slowly on black compared to a light coloured fabric, and since I officially hold the title of 'Queen of Slow Stitching', you can imagine just how long these black finishes take me! I love how the black background really makes the colours pop on this design (which will be made in to a card sometime in the very near future.). It's incredible the difference the colour of the fabric has on the finished effect as you can see when you compare how it looks on the website on white fabric. I have some navy blue aida which I might use for one of the other designs in the set - but only after I have had a respite from dark fabrics and stitched some more on white!
Here's another finish (thankfully not on black!!) which as you can see from the hoop marks is, quite literally hot off the hoop!
This is to match the coffee design I did earlier. This one is also going to be made in to a gift, but I'm hoping to do something a little bit different than the coffee basket....let's hope that some inspiration strikes soon!
Until next time...happy stitching!

Two great designs. I love the tea one.
Quick question will you be adding tea sampler to your store?
Hello
Both lovely finishes! I think I may share your title of Slow Stitcher!
Hope you have a good week.
both are so lovely xxx
Forgot to say that the 'Tea' design will be going on the website soon!
Both look great, well done on your finishes :)
Two great designs! Love the tea one :)
The black fabric looks great with the Xmas colours - know exactly what you mean about stitching slowly on darker fabric - probably why I don't use it very often!!! Look forward to seeing them all finished off :)
great xmas stitching - I agree with you about the black - I have some sparkly blue which looks quite effective on xmas designs - love the tea sampler xx
Black aida can make you work slowly but the end result is very striking! Well done, both finishes are are great. Can't wait to see how they end up :D
I agree with Mii, maybe you stitch slowly on black fabric but the result worth the time you spent on this piece =)
with the Xmas colours it's really pretty
it's as if it is handwritten
very great =)
xxxxx
I love the tea one, I have never used black aida and looking at your pieces I might have to give it a go as they look great
But those colors look so gorgeous on black =) I can only imagine how hard it is to stitch but.. the result is very pretty :D
